Ball screw: Representative of high-precision screw

The ball screw is the most commonly used transmission element in tool machinery and precision machinery.

It consists of a screw, a nut, a steel ball, a precompression piece, a reverser, and a dust protector.

When the ball screw is used as the active body, the nut will convert the rotation angle of the screw into linear motion according to the lead of the corresponding specification.

The passive workpiece can be connected to the nut through the nut seat to achieve the corresponding linear motion.

Its main advantage is that it can ensure positioning accuracy under high-speed operation.

Due to relatively low friction, the transmission efficiency can reach 90%, which is much higher than ordinary sliding thread transmission.

Ball screws are up to 90% efficient when used with motors. They are quite accurate, within a few thousandths of an inch per foot.

Ball screws are used in many industries for precise control, including high-end machine tools, aerospace, robotics, electric vehicles, 3C equipment and other major fields.

The important significance of the ball screw is to change the bearing from sliding action to rolling action.

Common ball screws include self-lubricating ball screws, silent ball screws, high-speed ball screws and heavy-duty ball screws, etc.

From the perspective of circulation mode, ball screws include internal circulation and external circulation.

Internal circulation means that the balls always remain in contact with the screw during the circulation process,

and external circulation means that the balls sometimes break out of contact with the screw during the circulation process. .

Due to the small frictional resistance.

It is widely used in CNC machine tools, robot joints, new energy vehicle shifting systems, steering systems, seats and brakes, etc.
