How to store rolling bearing

Rolling bearings are coated with an appropriate amount of anti-rust oil and packaged with anti-rust paper. As long as the package is not damaged, the quality of bearing will be guaranteed. 

When the bearing is stored for a long time, it is recommended to store it on a shelf 30cm above the ground under the condition of humidity below 65% and temperature about 20°C.

In addition, the storage place should avoid direct sunlight or cold wall contact. After long-term storage of bearings with seals, the properties of the grease in the bearings are affected. 

Bearings removed in the original packaging should be properly protected against corrosion and contamination. Large rolling bearings are placed horizontally (perpendicular to the axis) and the entire side of the bearing ring is to be supported. 

If the bearing is placed in a vertical position, the thickness of the bearing ring is relatively small, and the weight of the bearing ring and the rolling element may cause permanent deformation of the bearing. Small bearings cannot be removed from the box and placed in drawers, open shelves and cabinets as they may be contaminated by dirt and dust.
